Volunteer abroad in exotic and fascinating destinations with RCDP International

by on July 8, 2010

Since its launch in 1999, RCDP has expanded its volunteer abroad program from Nepal to India, Thailand and now covers over 14 countries in 3 continents. RCDP has always emphasized in meaningful programs where our volunteers will learn as they work and grassroots communities will achieve sustainable development through volunteers’ work. RCDP’s programs are also one of the most affordable in the world, which means any students, or travelers who are financially constrained can now participate and enjoy. Because of this and our professional but caring staffs who go out of the way to help volunteers have time of their lives, RCDP has found it easy to expand and grow.

Among the new countries where RCDP International has thoroughly researched and launched the program is Ecuador volunteer program. Ecuador is a fascinating country with diverse terrain. From snow covered peaks of Andean mountains, to cloud forest to steaming Amazon, and not to mention the famous Galapagos Islands, this small country has a lot offer. The Ecuadorian people are also known for their warm hospitality. Because of this, RCDP International is confident that volunteers will have a great time in the country and their experience will be beneficial to both themselves and to the communities where they will work.

Volunteer work in Sri Lanka is another destination RCDP International recently introduced which is proving quite popular. In Sri Lanka, the civil war and the tsunami have torn many lives and families have been plunged into poverty. But with the war over, there are renewed hopes for an economic recovery and it’s an ideal time to tour and experience Sri Lanka intimately. Among many projects the volunteers can participate in Sri Lanka is the elephant orphanage program, where sick elephants abandoned by their herd are bred in a center. Our volunteers will learn from the elephant handlers and other project staffs and gain immensely satisfying and valuable experience.

So join RCDP’s volunteer abroad program and help the deprived and neglected. In the process, you’ll also grow and gain experience of a lifetime.
